Home sweet home…

SAFE, WARM AND COMFORTABLE

Personal Care Services

We meet many of our clients for the first time through our in-home caregiver services. Whether they are in the early stages of a disease, or simply getting on in years, what they generally need is some support so that they can continue to live in their homes.
We provide each client who qualifies for our care, the encouragement to do what they can. We make sure that they are safe, that they are warm and clean, that they enjoy a nourishing meal and that they take their medications. It really is the little things that matter.

WHAT IS PERSONAL CARE SERVICE?

Our Personal Care Services provide eligible clients with personalized assistance to remain at home and avoid nursing-home placement.

WHAT SERVICES ARE PROVIDED?

As a licensed homecare agency, we work with the client to develop a customized plan of care that meets their needs. Any combination of the following services may be included:

  • Individualized bowel and bladder services
  • Meal Preparation and Assistance
  • Eating (Assist/Encourage)
  • Household support services
  • Light housekeeping
  • Shopping or completing errands
  • Transportation of client (for non-medically necessary events)
  • Minor maintenance of DME (Durable Medical Equipment)
  • Assisting with self-administering prescription medications (prompting & reminding)
  • Hygiene/grooming
  • Supporting mobility assistance
  • Ambulation
  • Transferring
  • Toileting
  • Repositioning

Monthly visits are conducted to ensure client satisfaction with their care, and their assigned caregiver.

WHO DELIVERS THE CARE?

Care is delivered by our staff of over 100 Personal Care Attendants, who receive specialized training every month.

In addition, under certain circumstances, a member of the client’s family (with the exception of a spouse) may qualify and be trained and supervised to provide care.

All of our caregivers have cleared a background check through the New Mexico Department of Health’s Caregivers Criminal History Screening Program (CCHSP), and receive monthly supervisory visits.
